MICHAEL TOSCHI: CEO LUV Footwear

Being on the board of Make-A-Wish has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. On a daily basis I am inspired by the courage of these young people and the generosity of those who grant their wishes. During my first experience as a wish grantor, I was certain that my new company, LUV Footwear, needed to support this wonderful organization!

BATKID: Batkid Miles Saves San Francisco!

The LUV team was lucky enough to participate behind the scenes in the amazing wish of 5-year-old Miles, who famously got to be “Batkid” for a day in San Francisco, CA.  Batkid even graciously “drove” our LUV Bus for us!

Batkid is a true inspiration, a true hero. He saved the day!

ALISON: Alison’s wish to go shoe shopping in Paris

17 year-old Alison wished to go shoe shopping in Paris. As a special send-off, LUV Footwear gave Alison a preview of what shoe design and creation entails. Alison and her family visited LUV’s San Carlos headquarters, where they met with CEO Michael Toschi. Toschi gave her a presentation on how a shoe is made, and how the LUV Dream Flat collection was conceived and produced. Alison also got to take a few pairs of Dream Flats with her on her trip to Paris!

It was incredibly rewarding to share with Alison all of the love, beauty, and passion that goes into creating a shoe. We hope it brought her a little inspiration, too.

ANDREW: Wish to meet pitcher Matt Cain

10 year-old Andrew wished to meet San Francisco Giants pitcher Matt Cain. Besides the Giants, Andrew also happens to love Ferraris. So, on the day of his wish, LUV CEO Michael Toschi surprised Andrew with a ride to AT&T park in a Ferrari!

Between the Ferrari ride and playing catch with Matt Cain, it was pure joy to see Andrew live out his dreams.

BRAVE THE BAY: Santa Plunge

In this annual fundraising event, LUV CEO Michael Toschi found out just exactly how cold the San Francisco Bay really is!  In order to reach his fundraising goal, Toschi promised to plunge into the frigid bay in costume. He followed through in high style as Batman’s sidekick Robin, in celebration of the recent “Batkid” wish.

This has been a life changing experience for me. I would do anything for this organization – even plunge in the Bay!
